*Explainer: Calculated vs. Measured

Right now, the mW/cm² values above are marked “Calculated” because Helder 2 is still in the pre-test / pre-prototype verification stage. These numbers are derived from:

  • the target optical output power (W) from our engineering requirements, and
  • the beam geometry based on a 30° lens at a 20 cm working distance.

Calculated values are useful for design and expectation-setting, but they are not a substitute for lab verification—real beams are not perfectly uniform, and final optics/assembly tolerances can shift results.

What happens once Prototype #1 is ready

When the first physical prototype is available, we will replace key “Calculated” figures with “Measured” values based on lab testing.

Planned measurement method (Measured):

  • We will measure actual optical output and distribution using our large integrating sphere and associated instrumentation.
  • We will then publish a measurement report and link it directly from this section.
  • After that, this section will be updated so customers see:


    mW/cm² (Measured) at defined distances (e.g., 10 / 20 / 30 cm),


    Red vs NIR split (Measured),


    and where relevant, beam profile / uniformity (Measured).


Commitment to updates

As soon as the first prototype testing is complete, this page will be revised to show Measured performance with a linked report—keeping the same transparency standard you see from the most technical brands in this category.
