How to position the device
Position 15–20cm from the jaw joint (TMJ — in front of the ear on each side). Use head mode. Target one side at a time — 10 minutes per side if both sides are affected.
Set up the device
Position 15–20cm from the jaw joint (TMJ — in front of the ear on each side). Use head mode. Target one side at a time — 10 minutes per side if both sides are affected.
Select head mode
Set to head mode, half power. Output: approximately 5.2W. Head mode is required for jaw and TMJ proximity.
Run the session
Hold position for 10 minutes per side. Wear eye protection. Repeat daily or 5 times per week.
Session guidance
TMJ dysfunction is a common target for PBM. The temporomandibular joint sits in front of the ear. 10 minutes per side, daily, over 4–8 weeks is the standard protocol. Can be combined with jaw relaxation exercises.
