Frequently asked questions

When should I do the Sleep Routine?

Do it in bed, ready to sleep. Most people use it right at bedtime, or within the last 30–90 minutes before sleep—whatever fits your routine best.

What is Night Mode?

Night Mode turns the red light OFF so only near-infrared (NIR) runs. NIR is invisible, so the session is calm and discreet with no bright light.

Can I fall asleep during the session?

Yes—that’s the point. The device has a 20-minute timer and shuts off automatically, so you can relax and drift off.

Where should I aim it for sleep?

Keep it simple: aim at the back of shoulders/upper back to relax, or at the face with eyes closed.

How often should I use it?

Use it most nights if you like—aim for 5–7 nights per week for the first few weeks, then adjust based on what feels best. Consistency matters.

Is it safe to use on the face at night?

Yes, with simple precautions: keep 20 cm distance, use eyes closed, and don’t look into the light. If you have eye sensitivity or a known eye condition, use extra caution and consider asking a professional.

Will it disturb my partner or bright up the room?

In Night Mode, the red light is off and NIR is invisible—so it’s much more discreet than a visible red glow.

Who should avoid it?

Avoid use if you:

  • have known light sensitivity or take photosensitizing medications
  • have a history of seizures triggered by light
  • have an active skin infection or severe irritation in the area
  • are pregnant and unsure (ask your clinician first)

If in doubt, start gently and consult a healthcare professional.
